USFS is the National Governing Body for our sport, and determines the progression of skaters to national and international competitions, where they represent the United States.

The Tri-States Council of Figure Skating Clubs is comprised of about 90 skating clubs (including the Midland Figure Skating Club) located in the states of Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, and, as of 1999, Western Pennsylvania.
